WISDOM TEETH PAIN AND EXTRACTION
ERUPTED WISDOM TEETH PAIN
Erupting wisdom teeth can cause a lot of pain, inflammation and contribute to crowding as they push their way into the arch, often with limited space available.
“Impacted” wisdom teeth can become infected, and sometimes may even start to cause damage to the neighbouring tooth.
CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY FOR WISDOM TOOTH PAIN
A large percentage of people will often experience ongoing problems with their wisdom teeth at some point.
If you suspect you are having wisdom tooth problems, our dentists are on hand to assess the situation, and take an on-the-spot digital panorama scan to make a proper diagnosis.
IN CHAIR REMOVAL
Problematic wisdom teeth can sometimes be removed simply in the chair, or more commonly, whilst you are sleeping under sedation. We can organize all aspects of this treatment to ensure it is as stress-free as possible.
When deemed suitable for removal by your dentist, the procedure is often simple and made as comfortable as possible with the use of adequate anaesthesia and relative analgesia or “happy gas” where required.
REFERRAL FOR EXTRACTION
There is a big variation in the degree of difficulty associated with the removal of individual wisdom teeth, which can be determined by your dentist.
In particular cases there may be an argument for referral to an oral surgeon for treatment either under local or general anaesthetic.
