Please familiarise yourself with the appointment policies and procedures at Spring Orchid Dental.

SMS Appointment reminders

As a courtesy we send an SMS reminder two weeks before your confirmed booking and again the day prior to your appointment time. You need only respond to the first message.

Our SMS system only reads acknowledgements of the appointment reminder, and can’t read other responses so please call us if you have any questions about your appointment or would like to look at rescheduling options.

Running behind schedule

At Spring Orchid Dental we do endeavour to always book appointment times appropriate for the treatment and to meet your individual needs. However, sometimes things do happen that lead to our dentists running behind schedule. If your dentist is running behind, we will send you an SMS message or call to advise of the anticipated length of time of the delay. We understand that your time is important too, and do not wish to inconvenience you further.

Similarly, we respectfully request an on time arrival for your scheduled appointment. We understand that events can occur outside your control that may lead you to arrive late for a scheduled appointment. Please contact us should you anticipate not arriving on time and we can discuss options with you for the reduced appointment time. We never want to risk compromising the quality of your care, so these options may include, reducing the amount of treatment planned, or rebooking.

Priority list appointments

As a practice the Dentists at Spring Orchid Dental are often booked in advance, leading to limited appointment availability. We maintain a priority list should you have not been able to secure your preferred appointment, or should your appointment be booked further in advance than is ideal. You will be contacted via SMS or by phone should a suitable time become available.

Advance bookings

Most of our patients like to pre-book their active maintenance appointment (exam and professional clean) well in advance so as to suit their preferred appointment day and time. We will remind you of this appointment one to two weeks in advance.

Treatment estimates

Our dentists will always provide you with a written treatment details and estimates for treatment. Should you have any additional questions about your treatment once you get home please contact us and we will be happy to discuss, or visit our website for further information.

Cancellation policy

We respectfully request that you provide 48 hours notice should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment time. If less than 48 hours notice is provided, this may lead to forfeiture of any deposits in place to secure your appointment.
